AUSTEC's Pex/Al/Pex pipes are a 5 layered composite construction comprised of a cross-linked polyethylene (PEX), bonded to an overlapped welded aluminium layer, and again bonded to another cross-linked polyethylene PEX layer. This multilayering safe guards the pipe against oxygen penetration, even against any expansions caused by temperature changes.
This structure of the Pex/Al/Pex pipes delivers strength, yet is lightweight, easily bendable by hand, and significantly lower in cost compared to conventional copper systems.
