Press indicators are a simple yet important feature on copper press fittings.

Found on Austec Press copper fittings, they give plumbers visual confirmation that a fitting is properly installed.

The small plastic ring sits tight around the lip of the fitting. It will come loose and fall off after correctly pressing the fitting a press tool. If the indicator is still in place, the fitting is not plumb.

Why Press Indicators Matter

Copper press fittings are all about speed and efficiency. But speed shouldn’t come at the cost of reliability.

Press tools can run low on battery or become uncalibrated, undermining the quality of your work. With Austec’s press indicators, each press gives you peace of mind. They ensure the system’s integrity by preventing leaks or potential failures due to incomplete installation.
